Former Fiji centre Seru Rabeni dies at the age of 37

SAD NEWS today as former Leicester Tigers & Fiji centre Seru Rabeni dies at the age of 37.
Early reports from the Fiji Broadcasting Corporation say that the former Otago Highlanders player died on Tuesday morning whilst having breakfast at his home in Nakasi.

Rabeni who won 30 international caps for Fiji, including during the 2003 & 2007 rugby world cups, was a powerful centre also turning out for Leicester 63 times between 2004 and 2009, before a year with Leeds Carnegie.

The midfielder also played for Fiji sevens and made appearances during multiple Hong Kong sevens series as well as playing in the Commonwealth games in 2002.
